1. Who runs GptBhai

GptBhai is operated by its parent company Oning Media Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (oningmediasolutions.com), India. We are the data controller for your information.

2. What we collect

Account info — email, name, profile photo (if you sign in).
Personal info you enter in Settings — name, gender, age, class/role, city, goal. Used only to personalise replies.
Chats — your messages and Bhai's replies, so we can improve the Service and resume conversations across devices.
Session metadata — IP address, approximate city/country, device/browser, referrer.
Payment metadata — plan, transaction ID. We do not store card or UPI credentials.

3. How we use it

Run and personalise the Service.
Enforce free-tier limits and detect abuse.
Improve quality (aggregate analytics, never sold).
Communicate updates, only when relevant.

4. AI providers

To answer you, we send your messages to AI model providers (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Lovable AI Gateway and similar) under their respective data-protection terms. They process the data only to generate the reply.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share only with:

Infrastructure providers (hosting, database, analytics) under contract.
Payment processors (Razorpay, UPI banks) for transactions you initiate.
Legal authorities, only if required by Indian law.

6. Retention

Chat history is kept while your account is active. You can delete it any time from Settings → "Clear all chats". We may retain anonymised logs for fraud prevention and analytics.

7. Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

As a Data Principal under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

Access a summary of the personal data we process about you.
Correct, complete, or update inaccurate or outdated personal data.
Erase your personal data when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.
Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as it was given. Withdrawal does not affect lawful processing done before.
Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (below). If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

We acknowledge complaints within 72 hours and resolve within 30 days as required by the DPDP Act.

8. Lawful basis & consent

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent (given when you sign up, enter Settings details, or send a chat) and for legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act (such as fraud prevention and complying with Indian law). You may withdraw consent at any time from Settings or by emailing us; this may limit certain features.

9. Notice at the time of collection

When you provide personal data, we tell you what we collect, why, and how to exercise your rights. This Privacy Policy serves as that notice in English; a Hindi version is available on request.

10. Children's data

GptBhai is not intended for children under 18 without verifiable parental consent, in line with Section 9 of the DPDP Act. We do not knowingly profile children, run targeted advertising to them, or process their data in ways likely to cause harm. Slang/Gaali mode requires the user to be 18+.

11. Cross-border transfers

Your data may be processed by AI providers and infrastructure partners outside India. We only use providers in jurisdictions permitted by the Government of India under the DPDP Act and bind them by contract.

12. Data breach notification

In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected users in the manner and timelines required by the DPDP Act.

13. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, role-based database access, encryption at rest where supported, and standard cloud security practices. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong password.

14. Changes

We will post any change here and update the "Last updated" date.
